In her personal exhibition “Fàula – Tales and Legends of Sicily,” Claudia Montedoro presents works that focus on telling, through images, the tales, legends and myths of her homeland, Sicily.
It is a collection of some of the most magical and curious stories that are passed down from grandparents to grandchildren, from parents to children, and that, unfortunately, little by little are falling into oblivion. It is very important for the artist to preserve and pass on these treasures.
The illustrations in this series are characterized by vibrant, vivid colors and rich details, with the aim of capturing the viewer’s gaze and transporting him or her into the scene.
During the exhibition, the public was asked to participate by contributing a story, tale, or memory by producing simple drawings. In doing so, at the end of the opening night, everyone was able to return to their homes “enriched.”
